360 Security ensures that nothing malicious lurks on the web or download files. It can prevent access to potentially dangerous websites and scan your browser history, keep tabs on the amount of data that you’re using and even track down your phone that’s gone missing.
The suite also comes with firewalls, a shredder for data and scheduled tools for system cleaning. It can update drivers automatically and features anti-tracking. It even gives you privileged access to tech support by a single click.
The interface of the program is easy and easy to use, even though there are many options and settings. The majority of things are controlled via a large switch or button. This is excellent from an ergonomic point of view. The software is free and accessible for both Windows and Mac.
The antivirus does a decent job of securing your computer from malware. Its real-time security detects more than 99% of threats, and it didn’t trigger any false positives during my testing. However, it’s not able to provide the same level of protection as top-rated products in terms of heuristics and file scanning.
360 Total Security offers a number of additional security and maintenance functions, including a VPN, which is only available in the premium version. The heuristic algorithm it uses to detect malware by examining the behavior of a program, which is quite useful, particularly in cases where the threat has not yet been formally identified. The program comes with a “clean-up utility, as well as other tune-up tools that can increase the performance of your PC.
