Aide Referral Program

Program terms

Last updated September 26, 2026

These terms explain how the Priority Cares Home Services Aide Referral Program (“the program”) works. By sending a referral you agree to them.

1. Who can refer

Anyone can refer: current aides and staff, friends and family, and healthcare professionals. Everyone earns the same fee when a referral qualifies.

2. Who you can refer

  • Home Health Aides (HHA) and PCA staff living in or near the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Westchester and Monroe County (Rochester).
  • The person must be new to Priority Cares Home Services. If they already work with us, have already applied, or are already in our system, the referral is closed with the reason “Already in our system”.
  • If two people refer the same aide, the first referral we receive counts (we match on mobile number).
  • You cannot refer yourself.
  • The person you refer must know you are referring them and be happy for us to contact them.

3. When a referral qualifies

A referral qualifies once the aide is hired, assigned to a client, and works three consecutive full weeks. A full week means the aide works all the hours scheduled for their client that week, as agreed when they were assigned (for example, 25 of 25 hours). Our coordinator confirms each week worked.

  • If they miss a week, the count starts again at week 1 and the referral stays open.
  • A referral closes if the aide does not complete hiring, does not start, or stops working with us before completing three consecutive weeks.
  • There is no time limit: you can refer at any time.

4. The fee

  • The fee is $50 for each qualified referral.
  • It is paid on the first payroll after the referral qualifies. Your tracker shows the payroll date, and we text you when it is paid.
  • Referral fees are taxable income. Employees are paid through payroll. If you do not work with us, we pay you by check and will ask for any tax forms that are needed.
  • You must be in good standing with Priority Cares Home Services when the fee is paid.
  • There is no limit on how many people you can refer.

5. What you will see

Your tracker shows milestones only (received, contacted, interviewed, hired, assigned, weeks 1 to 3, qualified, paid). We never show a client’s name, address or care details, or the referred aide’s pay, hours, schedule or HR information. If a referral closes, we show one of four standard reasons.

We give you a private tracker link that opens your tracker with no password. Anyone who has the link can see your referrals' progress (first name and last initial only), so please keep it private. You can replace it at any time from the tracker page, and the old link stops working.

6. Text messages

By sending a referral you agree that we may text you about it (a confirmation, each milestone, and login codes), and text the person you referred an invitation to apply. How often depends on how your referral progresses. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts; you can still log in with your email.

7. Misuse

We may close referrals that are false, duplicated, or sent without the referred person’s knowledge.

8. Changes to the program

We may change or end the program. Changes do not affect referrals that have already qualified. We will post any change on this page.

9. Questions

Call (718) 400-6166 (Monday to Friday) and ask for Mary Pescador or Andrea Avendano. For a payment question: payroll@prioritygroups.org. See also our privacy notice.
